Electrical cables are exposed to extreme process conditions in the steel industry, in foundries and in metallurgy: fire and flying sparks, radiation heat and drastic temperature changes make for challenging requirements when it comes to the durability of cables and heat protection applications.
The choice of suitable cables and protective equipment always has a long-term impact on the life expectancy of machine technology.
With the newly developed HIGHFLAME, ALMI now offers a special cable suitable for temperatures up to +1,200°C in constant operation. The cables in the new HIGHFLAME generation from +260°C to +1,200°C are silicone-free, free from solvent-based additives and non-flammable. They display good resistance to radiation heat and flames in practical use.
Typical applications are under the runners in large furnaces, near distribution channel trolleys in continuous casting lines etc.
Our tried and tested product range is constantly being developed by new innovations in consultation with our customers. ALMI cables aren’t just extremely temperature-resistant:
they can also stand up to aggressive media, staying highly flexible and highly mechanically durable. All special cables are tailored to customer needs. Tailor-made protective equipment and a comprehensive range of thermal measuring technology complement the range of special cables.
